There was a lot more snow than we thought there would be. This is at about 8500 feet or so. Right at the top of the cirque going into the vally part up there. The worst part was between the shack and the saddle. The snow was knee/thigh deep and we were post-holing the whole way. It took us over 2 hours just for the stretch.

Those are some sweet photos bracken. Did you have to hike quite a bit up the snow? Where was this?
