I often see this sign by the Target in Orem and it has always baffled me. Do diabetics need special shoes? My dad has type 2 diabetes and he doesn't have special shoes, is it just for people with type 1? Are there certain types of shoes that have to drink diet soda? I just don't get it...

Which older brother is this? Pat or Craig, I mean devin, wait no is it Chad, oh that's right Chris. My Dad might need diabetic shoes...I should ask him.

So I talked to my dad about this and he said that diabetics do need special shoes. They are supposed to help with the blood flow through the feet. He has special insoles. The shoes generally have a harder flatter surface because that helps circulation. So there you are. ;)
Shauna just knew this too. She acted like it was common knowledge. Her podiatrist dad had talked about it sometime.
But I didn't know that about Dad.
